Honestly, those were just two "Timmah" goals...no more Chara and Seidenberg to bail him out anymore...he's out after two bad goals, might have hurt himself attempting to make a routine save...Flyers haven't done anything but have a poor power play opportunity. Both goals were just total flub jobs...

I know, like I said, he's worse. I was periodically blinded to it by Chara/Julien...my thoughts on this has been hashed out very long-handedly, it's backed with empirical, anecdotal, statistical, visual data of all kinds. Not everyone has to see this way, but generally, I know a bad goalie when I see one. I see one.

The Panthers held them into the Flyers end quite a bit too. Killed off several penalties, including a five minute major late. Pretty good effort by Markstrom and the Cats...if they didn't play their backup, they probably would have won.

If the Panthers hadn't started Thomas, the Flyers wouldn't have gotten any. He should have stayed retired.

Interesting side effect of hybrid icing during the Preds/Wild game. Wild had the goalie pulled, Preds go for the empty net and miss, causing a hybrid icing call. If the Wild player had to go back and touch up, time would've ran out, but instead they got one last shot with a face off in the offensive zone. They didn't convert but it'll make a difference sooner or later.

The lesson there should be don't shoot for an empty net behind the red line. That's basically common sense.

If the Wild had scored, the Preds would only have themselves to blame.

Sharks put 8 on the board (game still going). Some 19 year old rookie named Hertl has 4 goals and the 4th goal was beyond stupid. Goes in along on Biron, puts the puck between his legs at the top of the crease and roofs it. Amazing.
