Yeah, if anybody wants to see a textbook example of lax coverage in the defensive zone, check out the Flyers right now. Bruins wide open all over the place...

Boston is playing well, but Philly is playing awful. Look like the Pens in the first period thursday. Lots of standing around and watching.

Flyers getting their asses handed to them in the first period, I love it. Hoping they don't pull off a comeback like our Pens did!

Let's see how the Flyers respond the rest of this game. If they roll over and die I think their coach could be gone.

I hadn't realized how much the flyers faithful hate briere as of late. The in-laws have told me there has been a lot of yearning for him to get moved.

Come playoff time, they'll be saying the exact opposite. Briere is great in the post-season and a big game player who can really step it up.

Can't say that they will be anywhere near the playoffs with this kind of effort

Flyers with 12 shots through 40 minutes. Not exactly bringing the offense. Have they had 1 good scoring chance?

True, brwi. But their "big games" are actually right now.

canaan, per Flyers boards, it appears Coburn has plummeted out of favor and calls for buying out Timonen are more vociferous everyday.

Bryz is exhausted--fried and overworked, just like many of us here thought would happen. Boucher has been asked to go from stone cold to blast furnace in two games. BOS didn't build on their 3-0 lead in the second, though.

Buying out timonen is a hilarious idea. Didn't they just re-sign him to a one year deal?

Uh huh. He's making $3 mil now (cap hit $6.5) and was resigned through next year for $6 mil. He's got a NMC, too.

I'd enjoy it a tad bit more if we didn't have TOR tonight. I had a nightmare about the terrorist (albeit a very cute terrorist /girlstuff) Clarke MacArthur last night. We need to sustain the high.

Boston blocks a ton of shots and they are patient with the puck in their own end. I'm jelly.

And the Islanders take the lead. Let's hope it last and they beat the Craps outright!
