An East Coast Rapper

There was a "game within the game" for two competing factions. The East Coast vs. West Coast rappers.

Here is the the write-up for Rylans East Coast Crew:

You have been selected for a very special role within RnR Warz.

You are one of the "Rock Stars" (villagers), but you are a very special Rock Star, you are the Sole representative of the "East Coast Rappers".



You want the "Rock Stars" (village) to win, but you are part of a "Game within the Game".

You Win only if you outlast your West Coast Rap competition. One of your fellow "Rock Stars" is an West Coast Rapper. Your job is to make sure that he's killed before you are. Once he's killed you get immunity for the first night anyone tries to kill you.

So, in effect, the RnR world is a smaller place.

Party Hardy Rockers! But be careful out there. There's a lot of great music still to be made!

Let me start night two here by asking folks what their first album purchases / first concerts were?

First concert: Led Zepplin - Pgh Civic Arena 1969 (Zeps first tour and visit to the 'Burg)

Can't remember first tape I bought, but my first CD(s) were my 8 free ones from Columbia house. They were:

Ozzy - No More Tears
Pearl Jam - Ten
Nirvana - Nevermind
Alice N Chains - Dirt
GNR - Appetite, Lies, Use Your Illusion 1 & 2

First concernt - Pink Floyd, The Division Bell Tour in like 1994.

First album: Tough to say. I stole so many from my brothers that I'm not sure which were really mine. For some reason, I think it may have been In Search of the Lost Chord by The Moody Blues.

First concert to speak of: Monsters of Rock, Nürnberg, (West) Germany, 1986. The bill included Scorpions, Ozzy, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Warlock, and a few minor nobodies.

I had tickets to see Dio in concert in Fayetteville, NC in 1984, but it was canceled. The arena had a concert venue and a theater venue with only a wall separating the two. They booked Dio in one of them while a high-school graduation was scheduled next door. They rescheduled Dio, but he never came back while I was there. Boo. Luckily I got to see him with Black Sabbath some years later.

1st CD was...oh God...Kenny G (I got a CD player for my 13th birthday and I was playing the sax at the time so my brother got me his album)

1st CD I ever bought myself was a Queen album...Finally, redemption.

Seeing Led Zepplin was pure luck for me. I was 13 years old. I had three paper routes. I had an older sister who was going to celebrate her 18th birthday.
I asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she said "tickets to Led Zep", I said only if I get to go too.

My dad bought them at the ticket window for us a few days before the show. The ticket seller took one look at this 50 year old man with a crew cut and told him "wear a hard hat buddy"... I almost didn't get to go.

That same night was the first time I ever saw anyone smoke pot.

Ah... I'll miss the old Arena... so many memories.
