I just finished my bottle of Supplication and holy crap is that beer good. I can't think of anything more articulate to say about it at the moment.

I've been reading what people have been saying on here about this beer, I have to try it. Any where I can get it in the south hills, preferably

I think its accurate to say that literally the only place you can get it within a 200 mile radius is House of 1000 Beers in New Ken.stopper40 wrote:largegarlic wrote:I just finished my bottle of Supplication and holy crap is that beer good. Samuel Smith's (obviously), Anderson Valley has a good one (might not be in season), and also Breckenridge has a good one that might be a year round one. If you want my suggestion for a stout if you haven't had it yet (it's not oatmeal, but still) i'd go with southern tier double milk stout.Eismann wrote:In the mood for some oatmeal stouts this weekend. Sam is my go-to, but I'll be on the lookout for the others. Pretty sure Jiggle has Shakespeare, and maybe Young's and the Southern Tier dms.count2infinity wrote: Samuel Smith's (obviously), Anderson Valley has a good one (might not be in season), and also Breckenridge has a good one that might be a year round one. Not bad, but it hasn't dethroned DogFish Head IPA 60 from its perch above all other IPAs

Went to the Kroger for a beer run and found Newcastle Founder's Ale. Is this new?

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
I do not. Wheat/hops is not my thing. Hence, Aventinus was not for me. I'm just a malt guy, that's all. Couldn't get through two sips of the A. Just a personal preference.Froggy wrote:if you like the ease of a great hefe, coupled with the punch of a dopple, aventinus is for YOU!
The Stone Russian Imperial Stout was quite good. Strong, full, some hop notes but well tempered, as the clavier.

This sentence would be great if you removed all the surrounding context.Froggy wrote:if you like the ease of a great hefe, coupled with the punch of a dopple, aventinus is for YOU!

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
I shtrate-up know that loads of beer nutz here are more on the hops side, so I fully disclose my pref for the malts and don't hate at all on the other side. Pretty much every beer that's cited here is quality in one way or another. Just comes down to taste.Froggy wrote:eismann loses like 57 points, but still manages to be in my top 5 favorite posters on this site. weird...
