what do you THINK is going to happen and what do you HOPE is going to happen?

What do I think? Canada - Finland in the gold match with Canada winning, USA and Sweden in the bronze match, USA winning
What do I hope? USA - Finland in the gold with USA winning, Canada and Sweden in the bronze, Sweden winning

I hate you sometimes, randall.

Tomorrow's winners -- Austria, Russia, Swiss, Czech

QF winners -- Sweden, Russia, US, Canada

Semis - Sweden over Russia, Canada over US

Gold -- Canada over Sweden
Bronze -- Russia over US

I most certainly am. But the question was asked what you think will happen. I'm betting with my head based on what I've watched in this tournament. I'd much rather have a good reason to be up at 6:30 on a Sunday after a long work week (and a long Sunday workday ahead) for a US Gold Medal game. But for some reason, I just don't trust our goaltending and defense against 2 heavily offensive teams in Canada and Russia. I hope I'm wrong. However, if I'm not in the Canada case, I hope they win it all so I can line my wallet.

Tomorrow: Czech Republic

QF: US will lead the Czech Republic 1:0 after the first period only thanks to the great goaltending of Pavelec. Czechs score 3 in the 2nd, and add one more goal in the 3rd on the way to 4:1 comeback victory

SF: (Ex)-Penguin Zbynek Michalek will give the Czechs 1:0 lead against Canada in the 3rd, but Canada will score the equalizer with 1 minute to go on a lucky deflection. Czechs will prevail in the glorious shootout. The best Canadian player (Crosby) will be left sad and dejected on the bench.

Finals: The oldest Czech D-man (Zidlicky) will be the only scorer in the finals game against Russia. 1:0 in the middle of the 3rd.

... and if that happens, I'll feel 16 years younger... 8-)

Dominik Hasek ain't walkin thru that door.

However, the mere prospect of losing to Jagr bothers me.

Is there any idea of what time US' game will be Wednesday morning? Or is that not quite set yet

Same time as the Czech game tomorrow - 11 AM CT. The game will be in the smaller arena (Shayba), because Canada - (likely) Switzerland is considered more attractive.

Austria is pretty awful. Vanek looks like he wants to jump off of a bridge.

Ovechkin should have looked to Malkin there for the deflection

The Russians will probably win this game (or will they?), but they will not beat Finland.

The lack of Norwegians in the NHL is odd

Radulov has become the person I want to really see laid out (but not injured; just hit hard) in this tournament.

Can Radulov play for the Preds in the playoffs again this year if he wanted? Can he just keep doing that?

His play this tournament has been pretty bad at times too. Taking really bad penalties in places, missing good opportunities. You can tell the talent is there, but I don't know about the mental aspect.

No, he's no longer property of the Preds or any other NHL team.

Radulov seems to be getting unfairly crucified in this thread. Taking two bad penalties doesn't make him a terrible teammate (one of which was defending a teammate, although in the worst possible way). He's created a lot of chances, been one of the few Russians to go anywhere near the net, put a nice screen on Quick for the tying goal. I think he's been one of Russia's better players so far.

It's not just these olympics. It's also how he handled himself with the Predators.
