If you are a villager you should:
1. Bandwagon hard the first 2 days.
2. Kill the quiet ones for the next 5 days.
3. Get some serious discussion going based on what people say up to that point (the baddies will have to talk because they know they will get killed if they are quiet)
4. Kill the baddies as they are tripping over themselves trying to cover up this and recruit that and blah blah blah.
5. Win the game.
6. Read congratulations thread.
We were so successful doing this the first handful of games we played here. Why everyone got away from it and think we need to have elaborate discussions on day 1 still baffles me.
It's why I don't play as often as I'd probably like. There is no strategy on day one, but people insist on over-thinking it anyway.

The problem with not bandwagon jumping on day 1 and 2, is you run the risk of outting RP's. You pretty much have to take one for the team if you get picked early and have no role.

I hope I am a regular next game so Juice and Dags can kill me Day 1. I'm getting burned out :scared:

I'm not playing next game. Semester is ending and booze coma will happen for a week and then I have to get my proposal together to get accepted into my program.

Oh and mods were Npv and I tied together where if one of us died the other died? Cause I was only so obvious with what I knew because I had him as a fail safe if I was killed.
I bet you did. :face:
No, really, he did. He made sure to let me know in the chat, so that when the game was over he could see if he was right.

It was huge, I agree. We wouldn't have won without shaf. However, with the role I was given, I did a good job with it.

I was definitely rooting zaro. If it somehow would have wound up with two people left, and with zaro one of them, I would have voted to give him the win. That role is so tough.

Ok, I called out MWB and Azkar who were both role players in the same thread. I'm not saying that I picked out a "Goon" I am saying I picked out a role player and hoped people would keep an eye on him. He did a lot of damage to the Goons, but he was also wrong more than once. I didn't understand why regardless of the outcome for the people he nominated throughout the whole game he wasn't questioned once.
You played badly. End of story. The only good that came out of you acting like a fool was the mob being obvious to some of the players.
Which is actually a really good thing for the village, and probably the best thing a newb could contribute, before their inevitable, early demise.

The problem was people were actually reading and replying to THG. I quit paying attention to anything he said and saw who started trying to push hard for him. They can act a fool all they want, but as soon as people start taking them seriously they should be axed.

I've seen several references to "in chat" and the like. I hate chat rooms (not my posting style) and so don't go in them, even LGP's chat. Do you really discuss the game in there? Or are you using "chat" as a reference to something else?

I'm sure IE meant that she whispered(PMed) to Pavel in the chat after she was killed, because I saw no trace of her rant and she also is smarter than that.

Also, none of the game is played in there. People discuss stuff that's on the board, sometimes this game is one those things, but nothing material to the game is allowed.

You said that Pavel told you his list of baddies in chat. It was PM'd?

Yeah you can whisper(PM) in the LGP chat. We were both dead so nothing to do with the integrity of the game was compromised.

You called me and Azkar out really early. I had made one post and Az hadn't even posted yet and then I started wondering why you were calling people out so early.

This was really annoying for me. I researched thg the second night, so I knew he was good, but I also knew that the confusion he was causing was good for the goons. Almost made me want to vote for him.

Yeah, we were on the same wavelength. I made a very similar post a little later saying that I thought he was okay and we just needed to ignore him. I think a lot of people did end up ignoring him.

I was annoyed with thehockeyguru as I would be with a persistent mosquito.

He must have accused me in 30+ posts and I think I only directly responded to him once (when I suggested in passing that he was mentally unstable).

So I have a bit of a problem with people who suggest it was a thg vs. redwill battle. It was of course a thg vs. reality battle. But, either way, it obviously hurt the village.

The cool thing is that I picture thehockeyguru sitting at the computer when each write-up came around after he died.

"redwill! Get redwill!! It better be redwill!!! Oh, for God's sake, let it be redwill!!!!"

It's not redwill.

"Oh, JEEZ!!! How stupid can these people be???!!! They've got to get redwill!!!! OK, maybe this time they'll get redwill!! GET REDWILL!!!! RED-WILL!!!!!!!!"

It's not redwill.

"How can it not be redwill????!!!! How can these morons not see that it's REDWILL??????!!!!!!!!"

etc. etc.

How empty (not to mention stupi -- er, silly) he must have felt when I turned out to be just plain ol' Superstar.
