Pens best chances that period came from creating the traffic in front,just don't have the guys to finish.
Jarry had some big saves,specifically late when the Pens were lost in their end.
Sully trying to get Malkin going,he had an open shot and missed high,then hit a post late in the period.Geno is struggling big time.
The Yotes were able to get their chances by working the Pens Defense down low.Forwards need to be tight on their guys in the zone.
At some point we need a garbage goal from the 3rd Line to make a difference in a tight game like this.

Dubas really needs to extend Carter.

I sometimes wish the NHL had restructuring or just new contracts like the NFL or european soccer. I’d tear up Carter’s deal and give him a 10 year, $10 million deal right now if we were off the current cap hit and can bury the rest in the AHL when he’s done playing.
