Wow...the shorts I just changed into to take out my dog haven't been washed since Saturday, and I wear them each morning and evening. That might be stretching it, but I think normal people would wear shorts/pants 3-4 times before washing them. Thats a huge waste of water and really unnecessarily rough on your clothes.

I have basically 3 pairs of jeans, maybe, at one time and usually only wear one as "dress jeans" for going out because its impossible for me to find a comfortable pair that fit me. The others are lounging around pants for home, campfires, and wearing sandals where the bottoms get destroyed. Since I really only have one nice pair and not worn a ton, im looking at maybe a biweekly wash.

Two points: Malone wasn't lounging around the home, and just a hunch but when a ball of cocaine rolls out of Ryan Malones pants that he's been wearing for three days those things should be burnt to the ground.

If I wear pants to work, I wash them. But they're khaki or dress so everything shows. I guess if I had a job where I could wear jeans I could be a dirty hippy and wear them everyday.

As for cargo shorts in the evening, those tend to go by 'hours' worn. Once I've worn them long enough to equal a proper day I'll toss them in the wash.

I'm stating that in my home, when things are dirty you clean them. Be a dish, floor, or clothing. I also stated that I don't own any casual jeans, so I'm not sure what you want from me. I am riding my bike a few hours each way this weekend and I'll wear the same pair of Kevlar jeans both ways without washing them if it makes you feel better. If I offended you by calling Malone a dirty cocaine addict and you somehow identify with this because you both share a love of wearing the same clothes for 72 hours, then that's on you. Did you ask just so you could have a tantrum about it?

I read an interesting article a while ago about Raw and Selvedge denim jeans. I was looking into getting a pair for the hell of it, but it's recommended you wash them once a month, if ever. Not for me.

I don't care about Malone. I think you waste a lot of water and may be obsessive compulsive if you wash every article of clothing every time you wear it.

I don't. I wash them when they're dirty. I think light colored casual clothes cannot be worn for 18 hours without showing enough visible wear to warrant a washing. I don't have casual jeans, so I don't know. As I said above, with leisure wear in the evening I'll wear them until they're dirty (the hours remark). Bed clothes last about a week because I literally do nothing in them. Do you have a dog that sheds? I do, maybe that's a reason we differ on this.

I have no idea what we're disagreeing about at this point. *shrug*

See if he's clean for six months or so, give camp invite, if busts his ass off offer a 1 year 800k contract next summer (or january already if he's shown the mentioned). He wanted to stay in the Burgh, didn't he?

This is pre-mature though, of course. He must be clean and not get alot of jail time before any of the above could happen. Here's hoping Malone gets things straightened out and both feels and does better again.

Articles of clothing that I wear out in public always get washed after each use. The only time they wouldn't is if I ended up coming home rather quickly, say a trip to the pharmacist to get pill then back home. So.... if something is worn for say an hour it gets washed.

you do realize that when you towel down after a shower that you're clean, right? seems like a huge waste to wash towels after only one use. maybe if you live on your own it's no big deal but if you have a spouse and a couple of kids that can add up to a lot of towels in a week's time.

Towels, much like jeans, get the sniff test. Your nose will let you know when it's time to grab a new one from the closet.
