They have 5 wins in regulation. Last game was one of them. I am ok with same lineup.
I am a big Puljujarvi supporter.

Edit. Wins are bad this year. Play Puljujarvi to increase his trade value. He should be in the lineup.

I honestly think JP is just the kind of player you try to hang onto. Extend him to say 1.0 - 1.2M on a short deal. He's not old, pretty fast, shouldn't break the bank and is kinda worth it. Plays pretty well for a cheap dude. He does need some special teams time.
Sad thing, that might actually be a good third line, depending on Poulin can improve enough and limited games and minutes don't count.
Hoglander shoots more, and consequently Hoglander scores more. Puustinen averages 1.47 shots per game over his career; Hoglander averages 1.75 shots per game.Daniel wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 7:07 pmSad thing, that might actually be a good third line, depending on Poulin can improve enough and limited games and minutes don't count.
Serious question, other than opportunity and age, what's the difference between Hoglander and Puustinen? Just reading the scouting reports, they seem like the same player.
I’m trying to think of any trade scenario that actually helps this team other than getting a mid 1st round pick. I think no matter what they do this won’t be a 2nd round playoff team. I think at best they go from a top 5 pick to just missing the playoffs or a first round loss.

Can't improve the blue line much with Letang, Karlsson, and Graves here. 20M+ on 3 players with mediocre play at best.Puck-Lurker wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 12:59 pmSame. I don't see how he adds much.
We have a much greater need to improve the blue line right now anyway
That's why some of em need to go.FLPensFan wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 1:02 pmCan't improve the blue line much with Letang, Karlsson, and Graves here. 20M+ on 3 players with mediocre play at best.Puck-Lurker wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 12:59 pmSame. I don't see how he adds much.

But also not playing Grzelcyk would be nice.

I would've liked Jiricek, but that's a serious price tag.
Probably watching the Supernatural too much Other interesting ones: Satan, Savage, Butcher, Clitsome...Puck-Lurker wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 5:26 pmI would've liked Jiricek, but that's a serious price tag.
Unrelated: Daemon Hunt is probably the coolest name I've seen for a hockey player.
"Garth Butcher" has to be my all time favorite.bse wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 6:15 pmProbably watching the Supernatural too much Other interesting ones: Satan, Savage, Butcher, Clitsome...Puck-Lurker wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 5:26 pmI would've liked Jiricek, but that's a serious price tag.

Vancouver has actually two Elias Pettersson.. thats funnyKG wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 1:31 pm I would think/hope the Pens would have interest in D man Pettersson from Vancouver. 6'2 20 years old. Plays with a bit of an edge. Seems like he's ready to play in the league now. Goes with what KD is looking to do. Bring in younger players who can contribute now.
Hoglander I would have interest in too, but he was much more enticing when he was playing on his ELC salary.
