The quarterback competition was apparently a rousing best of 5 game of rock paper scissors. The bigger hands man won.

In hindsight, I wish Rudolph had waited before signing with Tennessee.

That story was from before this trade though, so I think it's fair to say we have no idea what was going on (between Pickett and the rest of the team).

Someone on X mentioned that Kenny got butt hurt that Wilson was going to get the first work with the 1st team instead of him.

Pickett was another Tomlin failure. Should have never picked him with a No.1.

If Kenny didn’t go to Pitt the Steelers never draft him.

The only concern I had with Fields was using draft capital or salary cap that would had prevented filling other holes. Either of those are a concern and I can’t believe we moved on from two absolute trash QB’s and a guy who made the most of his chance to earn a contract someplace else into Wilson and Fields. That’s a huge upgrade over what we have had for the last two seasons.

Fields fifth-year option is $25.664M. Decision due by May 2nd.

Can they work out a new longer term deal instead of the option?

Starting to get a little worried about not having a center. I don’t know why we would draft a WR in the first round when we need a C and LT before that. This team has always seemed to find value late in the draft at WR, he have a game breaker, don’t need another one right now. If Wilson or Fields don’t have time to throw than it doesn’t matter who the targets are.

From what I've seen, the center depth in the draft is incredible. I think they can get the kid from GA in the 3rd round. WR is also deep so to me if they can get the 6'3 4.3 40 kid from LSU(I think) then that would be a steal.

To me, the 1st 3 rounds need to be center, RT, WR and I think they'll get 3 starters if things fall into place.

I had Jones mixed up with RT or LT.
