Re: Make me smile :)
I bought her a Broncos jersey that was sized small for dogs but it seemed a little small for her (she's a small-ass cat too) so I just got her a medium dog size and it fits her pretty well.dodint wrote:Cool. Those eyes are good cover, then.
Neat that you found a perfect size jersey. I wouldn't know how to size a cat.
she's the most skittish cat ever but once I put the jerseys on her I think she freaks out and just tenses up and doesn't move at all.

To be fair, I can make a "Dogs in a kennel/cage v. Dogs hanging out in a room" and get the same result. Still, though, adopt if you can. Breeders are lame.

Obviously this is being discussed with us right now. We're a couple of years away from a new dog but when we do get one it will certainly be rescued from a shelter.dodint wrote:To be fair, I can make a "Dogs in a kennel/cage v. Years? Because of the undcertainty of the move or because of the grief? Either way I hope you can make peace and get one soon(ish). Dogs are a nice way of boosting quality of life.

I can't imagine getting a pet from a breeder. Just so expensive and being OK with how they do things.

We are not in a good place right now to give a dog the attention it needs. When we are we will get another. It wouldn't be fair to the dog if we got one now or even right after the move. Not because we are grieving but because we have no idea what life is going to be like for us up in PA. We might both be working day jobs. If that's the case then there's not enough time for a dog. Maybe I get a good 9-5er and the wife can go to school and wait tables a few nights a week. Then maybe we can...

I feel you. We haven't figured out how to fulfil our desire to live in the city and have a dog. Impossible with the current one. Thinking of getting a pair of Italian Greyhounds and box training them. We'll see.

I live 2.5 miles from work and have a fenced backyard. That works for my dog's needs......live in a standard apartment in the city with him: I don't think that would work.

Re: Make me smile :)
That's my setup now and the dog is too old to completely change her lifestyle. No worries though, we'll be here 5-7 more years.
