At least the first round pick the Pens traded for EK is top 10 protected this season.

Sully keeping Geno in this game is a fireable offense.

Jarry has been good tonight too, the goals against are on the players in front of him.

Eller has looked good. We could probably get a 2nd round pick for him when we sell off.
Acciari should get us a 3rd…

The 2 guys who spit that up have been exempt from any criticism for a long time. They will smirk and shrug it off as a fluke instead of realizing it was a product of that lack of direct attention from everyone involved.

EK playing like he'd rather be back in San Jose. Or Ottawa.

Eller and Ned were a couple signings a few people questioned that have so far been very good.

At least Geno has been vocal that he needs to be better. I would prefer he be quiet and just not play **** stupid.Zalapski33 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 11:31 pmThe 2 guys who spit that up have been exempt from any criticism for a long time. They will smirk and shrug it off as a fluke instead of realizing it was a product of that lack of direct attention from everyone involved.

I don’t see much difference between him and Errey. Army is the weakest of the regular rotation.

Realistically....
--Jake, 1st, player, prospect
--Ned, 2nd round pick
--Eller, 2nd/3rd round pick
--Acciari, 3rd round pick
--Smith, 2nd or player in return
4-5 high quality picks to start rebuilding this roster. Hope that Yager is ready next year. Hope Puljujarvi works past his injury and sign him. Actually play Puustinen. You have DOC.

Him and Nieto have been good but I don’t think there were questions about why they were signed and their deals were good for their roles.Zalapski33 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 11:35 pmAgreed.Eller and Ned are solid.Would add Acciari to that group.
I will admit I was wrong about Graves thinking he was a good signing. We would had been better off if Hextall extended Dumo for 3 years at $10 million which would had prevented Graves from being signed at all.

All for a re-tool but Sully can’t be the coach.FLPensFan wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 11:36 pmRealistically....

I'd just fire Sullivan and Reirden, and go with Vellucci the rest of the season. There's no sense bringing in Gallant or Boudreau type of we are going to rebuild in a year or two (we should). Some coaches are made for successful teams, and some are made to get the best out of young players.
Give Vellucci a shot, as he has been drawing interviews for HC spots.

I think a new coach needs to see if he can turn this around. Like yesterday.KG wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 11:38 pmAll for a re-tool but Sully can’t be the coach.FLPensFan wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 11:36 pmRealistically....

Won't blame You on Graves.I also thought he was a nice pickup along with Reilly Smith.Man was I wrong there.DelPen wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 11:38 pmHim and Nieto have been good but I don’t think there were questions about why they were signed and their deals were good for their roles.Zalapski33 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 11:35 pmAgreed.Eller and Ned are solid.Would add Acciari to that group.

I’m good with that, not sure who’s out there as assistants though.FLPensFan wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 11:39 pmI'd just fire Sullivan and Reirden, and go with Vellucci the rest of the season. Zero reason to sign Jake to an 8 year $75-80million contract. Sell high while you can. Restock.
Anyone but Sid should be available to be honest.
