Most I’ve noticed EK, in a good way, in a while. Hopefully he has a big 3rd. He’s due.

What really pisses me off on Sullivan not going with young players who are actually good is he brought up a bunch of players with him in WBS who totally changed the team. But I guess he thought Matt Cullen was the catalyst for everything.

Maybe because he doesn’t have an anchor tied to him after they changed his partner

Let’s get Dave Jackson to comment why Harkins hauled down was fine.

Graves missed hip check,2 weak giveaways in his end.
Ludvig has to be in there if he is healthy Thursday.

Should have been another penalty for Jake getting tackked.

Malkin interfered with too. That’s two penalties on this PP they don’t call.

Puustinen has good instincts, generates decent chances for his Line mates and rarely is out of position defensively. No reason for this.
Reason = he took a semi-bad penalty. Absolute death sentence with Sullivan behind the bench. No mistakes unless you are Crosby, Malkin, or Letang...or Graves, apparently.

Graves single handedly has cost them this game if they can’t tie it up. His play has been brutal

I would put the first goal for not making any challenge on Wilson, 2nd goal that he put in and 4th goal for not playing hockey and being a huge screen on him more than anyone. There’s a reason he’s being an anchor for Chad now.

Great effort to draw the Penalty by Geno.He was a man possessed that shift.
Need to get the bodys in front of the net on this PP and not shoot high, look for a rebound.

Reilly Smith really needs to have more than 8 goals in 35 games. Playing consistent top 6 minutes with Geno. He needs to be better.

Is it? If someone jabbed that late at Ned I’d want someone to get in their face like that.

Yeah so does Rakell. Not isolated to Smith.

Wilson gets a nice free uppercut on Sid. No penalty of course because the NHL loves the tough guy BS schtick more than they love growing the sport.

Back to the usual for this PP.
2 3rd Period chances against a Caps team hanging on here by a thread but nothing but a lot of perimeter play.

He had that nice spurt early and then maybe a couple more games bunched together but he’s been a passenger too. Rakell has looked better despite him being the most unlucky player in the world before he got hurt.
