Pens at Flyers, a 5-1 win

Something good: Matt Murray was dialed in, and he needed to be early. The Flyers stormed out of the gate, while the Pens struggled to settle in.

Where they need improvement: While they did manage to bend and not break early on, I wouldn't advise starting like that again.

Something good: As was the case in game 1, the Pens' special teams were great. They remembered how to power play, going 3 for 7. The penalty kill was a perfect 6 for 6. That kind of special teams proficiency will win you a lot of games.

That's pretty much it.

But two goals in five seconds was pretty special too. Ties an NHL playoff record.

Good: The Pens power play.

Bad: The Pens power play. By that I mean there are times where we look dreadful, as in zone entries and over passing.

Good: Winning on the road and getting back home ice advantage.

The undressing of Giroux by Crosby on that face-off was priceless. :fist:

Not only did he get undressed but he then left Dumo uncovered in the slot for the goal.

Yeah, I didn't see that until the replay this morning. Giroux struggling mightily trying to catch up to Dumo. And failing.
