Great point. Dumolin has had a tremendous series defensively as well.

The trib had an article this morning quoting defenseman "Oli Maata". Thought of you.

Cup favorites all had rough nights on Sunday and Monday. Nothing is guaranteed.

Elliott may be the worst goalie we have faced in months. That Dumoulin goal was awful. Stick with him Hackstol.

And Dave, thanks for putting the restrictor on Wayne Simmonds.

Nice penalty kill.

Thanks Matt for solid first ten minutes. That could have gone badly quickly.

Couturier left practice limping after a collision with Gudas.

Only team that lets players finish games and then label them out the following game with an injury.

Down a right wing. Could it be time for Sprong to skate a few shifts. He does have a few days off.

Hornqvist out for at least Game 4. This is the perfect time for Sullivan to insert D.S. into the lineup. Unfortunately, I'm going for Daniel Sprong there, and pretty sure Sully is going to go with Dominik Simon. :(

They should. They really, really, REALLY should.....but they won't.

And when they don't insert Sprong, I'd go:

ZAR-Crosby-Guentzel
Hagelin-Malkin-Kessel
Sheary-Brassard-Rust
Kuhnhackl-Sheahan-Simon

Yeah I like this.

Sounds like the practice lines are what will start game 4, meaning Simon takes Hornqvist spot and everything else stays the same.

If anyone is interested, click the Twitter link below for video of the Couturier injury. I'm not an expert (Andy Sutton says so), but, if I had to make a guess, I'd say he hyper-extended his knee, and maybe stretched some ligaments at worst. The way Gudas hit him looked more like the knee bent backwards than twisted, and twisting is usually where you see the more serious injuries. Yes he was limping, but he also was able to put some weight on it.

I wouldn't be totally shocked if he did play tomorrow, being the playoffs. Regular season, he probably sits out a few games.

Sheary looks like a 10 year old kid here complaining. I imagine him in the voice of Ralphy from Christmas Story:

"But my lip. He cut my lip. It's my lip."

Aye, it looks like he may have gotten really lucky. Looked like most of the direct contact was on the hip/thigh rather than the knee.
