Time will tell on this move and how good it is. Has good potential but.........
But what? He isn't costing us anything.
Do you hunt my posts just to disagree? Why not just foe me?
Like I said, It has good potential, but if he is a total bust (lie ET), that is a half mil we could maybe use on someone else.
If we're worried about half a million, we have some serious problems.
Low risk, high reward possibility. That half a million spent here won't guarantee us anything anywhere else.
I like the move, let's see if he can find the scoring touch he had only a short time ago. The scoring touch he found was under Davis Payne, who is completely different coach than Hitchcock who took over for Payne. Hitchcock is defense first, we all know that....we also all know that Bylsma is NOT a defensive first coach, so maybe D'Agostini finds it again under DB? He also had his best season while playing top 6 minutes with the better players on the team. Maybe, just maybe he finds some crazy chemistry with Crosby or Malkin ala Andy Hilbert? I'm pretty sure 71 and 87 are much better players than anyone he played with in St. Louis.
I'll remain optimistic on the move until proven wrong. I won't hold my breath that he's the second coming of Marty St. Louis, but he might still be an effective player for league minimum. If not, I won't lose sleep over it either.
