not a ton of surprises in there , mostly things we have thought. I guess Staals PP numbers were slightly worse than I had thought. The only thin I was really shocked at was Despres lack of defense and his penalty minutes in the AHL.

I have only seen him in spurts up with the pens so if anyone has any insight?

He looks better in the NHL than the AHL.

I have been satisfied with how Despres has looked in the NHL, but I am quite cognizant that his minutes are guarded carefully to ensure a lower quality of competition. When people pencil him into our top 4 at this point in his career, it's a mistake.
