STH's did you get your tickets yet?

Postby knives of ice on Wed Sep 12, 2012 4:08 pm

A friend of mine got their tickets last week. Still nothing for me. Just wondered if most people had received theirs or not?

Yes, they arrived yesterday.

After the lockout is announced I'm demanding that the pens return my full year payment which I will then resubmit when the lockout is over. I don't want to give them an interest-free loan indefinitely. I'm sure that will be well-met.

Got mine today. Design is the same as last year. Oh, no extra goodies.

I hope I get to use them.

Im curious as to how they will handle it. During the last lockout they kept a few bucks to hold me seats but not a lot. But I wasnt on a pay plan at the time as others were. I dont think and someone can correct me if Im wrong but we didnt have playoff deposits the year before either?

If you request a refund I would bet they just ask you to keep something on deposit.

I'm surprised that there are no "goodies" this year. No cuff links, no key chain, no coin, no nuthin. On top of that, no letter from Morehouse promoting the upcoming season, no pocket schedules, there wasn't even a box/case that held the tickets. Just a FedEx bag and a binder of tickets.

There wasn't a box last year, was there?

I liked that tin a couple of years ago. Actually I still use it.

Nope, no box. Same notebook style as this year's. Only this year's seems a little smaller in length.

The tin is awesome. I still think it's one of the best things they've given us.

I agree. I use it most days. Well I guess its always being used, because it is holding things, but I actively use it more days than not

I was upset that the DVD ended with the regular season and didn't included Round 1 Playoffs. I wanted to relive that debacle for some reason.

Hope I remember to use at least some of the coupons this year. I totally forgot they were in the book last year.

Would be really nice/handy if they gave us a refund. They get my money, plus interest, and give me squat?! WTF

I found that it perfectly fits the combination of my Amazon Kindle plus its leather cover. I use the tin to give extra protection when I have to pack the Kindle in luggage.

The Capitals are paying 1% interest. It's not much, but I guess it's better than nothing.

Pens gave us money last time, 3 or 5% interest, cant remember. Although ever since "Small Change" Morehouse took over I would highly doubt it will be close if anything at all. But I will get a letter saying it is.

I think I'll try to get a return of my payment as well. I could use the cash. I don't see any way they can keep it.

Finally got them. Should I complain that it wasn't as fancy as I thought it should be? Is that what I do now?

PS - figure if the season i cancelled, I'll keep it as a collector's item.

Just got this from the STH office

Dear Penguins Season Ticket Holder:

As you know, the National Hockey League did not reach a new Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Players Association before the September 15 deadline, necessitating a work stoppage. The NHL still is hopeful that it can negotiate a new CBA with the players before any games must be cancelled. However, in anticipation of your questions and concerns about payments you already have made for your season tickets, we have established the following options:

- The Penguins will provide a full refund for all games cancelled by the league if requested by you in writing.

- Refunds, if requested, will be taken care of within 10 business days of the last day of each month and will be based on the number of games cancelled that month.

- If you choose not to request a refund, your season ticket payments will remain with the Penguins and be applied toward future games, playoff games or future season ticket renewals.

- For accounts paid in full that do not request a refund, we will pay simple interest calculated at an annual rate of 1.5 percent. The interest will be calculated from the time at which a particular game is cancelled until the last day of the month for which the refund is owed.

We appreciate your continued support.

In other words - those that were expecting the Pens to reimburse them now, before any games are actually cancelled, will not be getting their wish. Refunds will be made...as logic would suggest...at the end of each month for each game missed.

Makes sense. I think I still owe a couple hundred bucks on mine -- I wonder if they will continue to charge each month for that amount?

Yeah, they didnt address this for some reason. I am guessing they continue monthly debits as planned. If/when games are missing, they will adjust your following payments accordingly. So if the entire month of October is missed, instead of getting a refund my following payments will be much less than anticipated.

The Pens will have an easy response of...we will refund you now, but you will be giving up your season tickets if we do so.
