Hey, Rylan, are you walking well? I remember you were walking for therapy for awhile. Have full range of movement in the foot? Any pain, still?

The immobilizing apparatus was scary, too. Jesus, you could've lost your foot.

Walking is fine. There is a very slight limp that gets more pronounced the more tired/sore I get. Full range of motion will never be recovered due to the injury. I had a dislocation of the subtalar joint, and the recovery of that injury means range of motion is practically gone. Pain is there, but its usually just a dull ache rather than sudden onset sharp pains, so it is easily tolerable.

As for the losing the foot, yes that was actually far more likely than keeping the foot. In the end I beat the odds by the wound never becoming infected, the bones not suffering bone death, circulatory system was fixable, and the nerves stayed alive in the right parts of the foot that allow for it to be kept. As I joke with offline friends, I am the unluckiest luckiest bastard alive lol.

Can or do you ride a bicycle? Would that maybe help you regain some motion?

As far as I have been told, I have reached my recovery of range. My foot still has a range of motion north-south (albeit at a much reduced range of motion). But there is no east-west at all. Scar tissue has locked it up.
