I took Brown because the league is PPR, with he being Pittsburgh's #1 receiver, no Miller for a while, and the running game doing jack- considered him valuable.

We'll see- he'll either catch 90+ for over 1,000 yards and be their offensive leader or get hurt and make me regret the reach.

On the backs of AP, Marshall, and Graham I think your team should roll. And if Vick somehow is Vick of a couple years ago then your team gets even better.

I was talking to my friend at softball last night about his draft, said he got McCoy then Brees coming back around. I'd be thrilled with those first two rounds.

eh, I kind of disagree with that. In a ten team league, I think my strategy would be to try and grab one of Brees/Rodgers and Graham in the first two rounds. I think there's plenty of WR and RB depth to atleast compete at the other positions. The Flex position is almost always going to be a wash, you'd have a TE/QB advantage every week and only have a discernable disadvantage at either WR1 or RB1 each week.

the RBs you are missing out on by going QB/graham would be ugly.

i will be able to get romo/ryan after the 4th round. brees APPG -- 21.6. Romo/Ryan APPG -- 19.0. If you are waiting til after the third round to get your RB you are going end up with the 15th best RB or so, last year that person had an APPG at 11.1. Negating AP, the top 4 RBs had an APPG of 16.5. the difference between graham and gonzalez/heath miller in APPG last year was 1.3 who will be available much later than the fifth round or so.

in non-ppr leagues, the value of graham diminishes. if you get a td-happy TE you can easily negate graham.

I guess it depends on the scoring. my league has all sorts of yardage bonuses, so TD value is dimished. I might be looking at things from a different scope.

And those TD happy TEs would be?

Over the last 2 years Graham has averaged

1146 receiving yards
10 TDs

Last year he missed one game but left a couple others early or was purely a decoy due to a high ankle sprain and was still the best TE. That's against Gonzo having a resurgent season riding Matt Ryan's career year. Graham has no peer at the TE position this year.

It's

Graham

Gonzo
Witten

Gronk/replacement guy (combined stats are probably the 2nd best TE)

everyone else

Heath Miller and Kyle Rudolph last year are probably examples. That said, I am big on Graham and don't think his edge at his position can be neutralized. Whether his edge at his position justifies his ADP vs. the differential between the RB/WR you pass on to take Graham is the million dollar question.

WR: Fitzgerald, Nelson,
Flex: Torrey Smith
TE: Gronk

Bench: Dalton, Ivory, Pearce, Heath, Britt, Zac Stacy, Vincent Brown, Stills

Dipping my toe into the fantasy football game this year by jumping into a league with my brother. Should be interesting considering I haven't watch more than a few players of any NFL game in 5 years. I checked out a mock draft on FoxSports website and didn't know 5 of the first 12 picks. This should be interesting. Might as well take a $20 and burn it.

So... PPR, Start 2 Rbs, start 2 wrs, and 1 flex

Currently starting

RB: Peterson, Sproles, McFadden
WR: A. Johnson, White

On bench:
RB: Mendenahll, D. Williams, Hillman, Woodhead, Dwyer
WR: S. Smith, M. Williams K. Wright

Do I try to package S. Smith and McFadden for an ELITE flex option. Part of me thinks... that severely hurts my bench . Then the other part of me thinks, really S. Smith is pretty much my flex anyways now because McFadden will likely get hurt lol.

Yes. Having a good bench ensures you make the playoffs if you have an injury but forecloses you winning the championship. Go for an elite team with top-end talent and hope you avoid injuries. If you get hurt, you'll miss the playoffs, but who cares. Finishing 3rd or 9th doesn't make much of a difference.

Yea... just worried... Don't think anyone would even think about DMC / S. Smith for Foster, Rice, Martin, Charles, Trich, Spiller, or Shady...

But not sure if I'm giving up too much if I do it for Lynch, SJax, Morris (In PPR)

The Lynch owner is currently starting Hilton.... I really think him having McFadden / S. Smith is an upgrade over Lynch / Hilton. Its the only 1 I spotted that might make sense for both me and a potential trade partner

This owner has also year in and year out been the least trade friendly guy in the league though... So there's that

Haha, I'm VERY trade friendly but I also always try to make legitimate trade offers. We have a couple guys in the league who just consistently send the worst trade offers imaginable with 20 texts about why its REALLY "great" for me.

Been in the league 5 years and I always just respond with "lol" or something and these same 2 guys still do it consistently. I hate that, just make a reasonable offer, if they reject either make a counter offer or move on
