i botched my eating to drinking ratio badly for this night. i didnt eat from about noon to 9:30pm because i was awaiting the BLT i had coming at the beach bar, but had 2 beers before we left. i felt nauseous before we got there, then drank a dogfish with the sandwich, and instantly felt like i had a brick in my stomach. had to resort to high life to continue drinking, but never got beyond a mild buzz.

Limited my consumption to a whiskey sour last night.

SIL and BIL kept the kids. Trying to get them to keep them the rest of the day....

Wife's getting the pork and kraut ready. Watching the rose parade. Trying to not think about going back to work tomorrow.

Happy New Year everyone! Hope all is well with you guys.

Also, on a related note, what is up with the stigma of going out or not being alone on New Years? I simply don't understand it. Who cares if you don't wanna go out or you just wanna relax at home? I'm cooking chili tonight and i have had a few people say, "Bioshock, you really shouldn't be alone for New Years." All i'm thinking to myself as they say this to me is how uncomfortable in your own skin would you have to be where in order to validate your new year you need to have a date or be out partying?

There's nothing wrong with that. Yesturday I went to the Pitt game, visited one of my friends in Bealsville (who was just staying home with his wife and baby and not doing anything else) and went home to watch MacGyver. I didn't celebrate NYE, maybe it's because i'm not a big drinker or maybe it's because I treat New Years like any other day but I jusi didn't care and I acted accordingly.

Anyways happy New Year to all of you. May 2013 be a positive year for the entire LGP community.

Happy New Year. At work I tried to find Guy Lombardo on TV but no channel had him on. I decided to go with a newer New Year's band but couldn't find Doc Severinson either.
