Game three of the Eastern Conference Finals tonight and whoever the hell the host is now on 970 is talking MLB draft. I don't even know what to say.

This thread seems as good as any to say this...

So, my free SiriusXM trial ended in my car and I had to go back to FM radio. The first thing I hear on 93.7 is a bumper from their morning show. The clip that they choose to promote their show and to try and draw me in is Gregg Gianotti and Steigerwald talking about a guy with less than 5 fingers helping him lift a large box into his car at Best Buy.

Really? This is what you try to sell me on? This station can go to hell.

His suit reminds me of the joker from the Batman movie circa 1989.

I actually think Gianotti, despite spelling his name "Gregg" is one of the better ones we have. I know hes a big city guy so he knows better than the rest, but for not even being from here he seems more knowledgable and passionate than any of these guys. He actually seems to get upset when the teams/players are doing poorly and will, ya know acknowledge it. Even when its the Steelers.

Is Vinnie trying to look like Dom Deluise by wearing that hat?

I like Gianotti. The morning show is actually pretty good when Alexander is too drunk to make it into work and its just Gianotti and Colony.

This is more than 75% of the hosts on this station have a clue about.

His lack of knowledge of other sports and other Pgh teams - and apparant failure to try to learn more - makes it seem like knows more about baseball than he actually does.

This. I'm kind of whatever on the guy but he at least seems like he enjoys what he's doing. He's like you're uncle at Christmas who might be right or might be wrong, but he just seems like a guy who's doing his job cause he likes to talk sports.

Cook and Fillipponi on the other hand......

The thing about Vinnie is that he is actually a radio professional. One can imagine him doing any variety of radio and being pretty good at it.
Aside from Savran, I cannot say that about anyone else in the PGH sports talk radio market.
