Kahun a game-time decision. Is there anyone left if he doesn't play?

Angello is still up here.

San Lafferty must have made a deal with the devil so keep having a spot open up from injuries.

ZAR was on his way to being a scratch anyways, his play has just been sub par for a few weeks now with and without the puck. But I’d still want him available to play over Angello or Agozzino

With ZAR out, we currently have a sum total of FOUR Penguins that have played all 57 matches this season.

Tanev, Simon, Pettersson, Blueger.

Beyond them, only McCann and Johnson missed fewer than five games (2). That's utterly nuts.

Don't be surprised if another Penguins injury shows up today.....I'm thinking Ruhwedel.

Penguins have recalled Zach Trotman on an emergency basis, and officially placed Marino on IR. If my emergency recall rules are correct, you can only use "emergency recall" if there is a chance you may not be able to field a full lineup without that recall. Letang, Johnson, Pettersson, Schultz, Ruhwedel, and Riikola make 6 defense...so, emergency recall seems odd.

Also, Brian Dumoulin was on the ice for about 30 minutes.

Nick Bjugstad was also skating, however, Dave Molinari has posted 2 or 3 videos of Bjugstad over the past week, and I have yet to notice him skating full speed. He appears to be about 50%, just going through the motions.

I wouldn't be shocked if the organization announces after the trade deadline that Bjugstad is finished for the season.

Malkin practiced this morning and coach S is hopeful he will play tonight. If that is the case we roll with this:

Little Z - Wizard of Cros - Czech
Kahuna - Geno - Rusty
Laffy Taffy - Big Mac - Angello
Tanev - Teddy - Horny

Sullivan also declined to state if Trotman would be in the lineup. Sullivan apparently in the last 24 hours said there are a few guys on defense that are banged up, and, they must have had some concern, since you can't use emergency recall status unless there is a serious threat of not being able to dress a full 18 skater lineup.

It never ends. McCann held out of practice. Lafferty recalled on an emergency basis.

On the good side, both Dumoulin and Marino practice. Sullivan said both looked good.

Marleau, Sheary, and Rodrigues were all on the ice for practice yesterday.
Dumoulin and Marino (in full face shield) were out for practice in white (Assuming no contact jersey).
Bjugstad was not on the ice. Doesn't appear that he skated beforehand either. (He ended up coming on the ice for a few minutes after practice)
McCann did not participate in practice. He was seen at one point riding a stationary bike while practice was going on.
Sam Lafferty was recalled on an emergency recall basis, indicating that McCann may not be able to go in LA.

Practice lines:
Zucker-Crosby-Sheary
Rust-Malkin-Hornqvist
Marleau-Rodrigues-Simon
(Recchi)-Blueger-Tanev

Possibly. Not for much of a return. Buyout might be an option. 600K cap hit next season, 1.75M cap hit the season after.

You might be better off just keeping him and LTIR'ing him when hes hurt. It's just next season that hes under contract for.

Unless you can get a pick for him from someone. If I'm a team like Ottawa I offer a 4th or 5th and hope he can play so you flip him for a better pick at the deadline.

Lovely - Simon did not practice.
Neither did Marleau, but it's presumed he stayed back to help his family move.

On the bright spot, neither did Trotman - with the presumption he's on his way back to Wilkes Barre.

Dumoulin, Marino and Bjugstad all practiced fully. I'm guessing at least one of the Ds in that list plays tomorrow.
