The two high end RW players on the Pens, don't match up well with Sid and Geno. Sid is not crazy playing with Horny, and Phil did not play well with Geno.
Both have NMC/NTC in their contracts, which is where we are, hopefully you can move both. Will not get equal value, but find value.( i.e. Dominik Kahun)

I think Schultz and Pettersson can be legit 3 or 4 defensemen, Gudbranson is fine as 5th and get an ELC/small contract to fill out the 6. Create competition for the spot rather than overpaying for someone.

Not against trading a midrange prospect to get rid of Johnson, just not the only big bodied player with some skill. Essentially, the Pens have Bryan Rust prospects and Anthony Angello. While none of them are going to be Hall of Famer's, Angello at least brings an element of size the others don't have.

I won't lose sleep over him being traded, just think he's the one to keep versus the rest of the forwards.

Well, we'll have to agree to disagree. Our D looked horrific last year, and I'd gladly lose a player I'll never see to have 4 mil in cap space that we desperately need.

I agree the defense looked bad, for so many reasons. I just think a 4th line of ZAR/Bleuger/Angello would be a very hard line to play against. That line would be young, would hit, forecheck, play good defense and score probably 15-25 goals combined. Trade someone else besides Bleuger, Angello and Addison is all I'm saying.

Even still, good topic to discuss for sure. :)

Well, I can’t get confirmation from either team, but there is word tonight PIT/ARIZ are working on a Phil Kessel deal. Stay tuned, let’s see where it goes.

Maybe they acquired Soderberg to include him in a deal for Kessel?

Should I give myself credit for saying I called the Galchenyuk trade?!? :)
