I expect flyers to announce Couturier is a game time decision... then have him play as a boost to the crowd.
Pens need to continue to frustrate the flyers. Give them no room to breathe.
And of course~ goals, goals, goals.
Let's go pens!

Yeah I know he's bleeding, Mike, but we're in Philly and you have a 2 goal lead. -Ref probably

I know blood doesn't automatically result in 4 mins, but that non-call just makes Bonino's double minor high stick penalty on Thornton in Game 3 that much more infuriating.

The blood rule is just a stupid rule in general in my opinion. You could hit 2 different people with the same force in the same spot and one could bleed and the other be fine. Shouldn't add time anyway.

It's more of an interpretation than a rule. I think the rule refers to "causing injury" as warranting the double minor, or, if more egregious, a major. Blood has been traditionally used as a proxy indicator of injury, unless it's not.

Technically, the rules dont say anything about blood. Injury is usually what you find, hence the referee discretion. Here are the hooking rules (what the ref cited) as well as high-sticking (what the hook became):

Absolutely love it.

Pretty sure the ref is mouthing the words, but they're being spoken in Toronto by the owners of the garage [league].

Let's hope that the Pens can pull through tonight with the absence of Hornqvist. He is a HUGE part of our team and I know his passion and hard work will be missed.
