Post Game Football Spot Saturday

Postby johnnews on Tue Jan 09, 2018 4:52 pm

My son and I are town for both games this weekend. Looking for a good spot to watch the PHL-ATL game Saturday after the Pens game. Figuring Buford's will be packed.

What are your recommendations downtown? We are staying at the William Penn Omni. Thanks for your help.

we'll be in town for both games as well. local friends already have a plan to take us out for hand-pulled noodles (save your wise cracks) after the game so I'll likely miss the ATL (my local team) game but hopefully we'll be back to the hotel in time for the Patriots game.

Quick search of Pittsburgh noodle pullers shows Everday Noodles in Squirrel Hill. If that's where you're dining, a review would be appreciated. Thanks.

We're going to go with Bettis' place over by the stadiums.

That's a good choice, just take the T from Steel Plaza, it's free.
Red Beards on 6th would be my other local suggestion. A bit more walking, but probably faster than waiting for a T on a weekend?

Much closer, I'd opt for the Sharp Edge at 922 Penn.

Southern Tier!!! On the Northshore (shore of what? I dunno) free T ride from downtown and a short walk.

I just know that the BeerHive has viewable TVs, I wasn't sure the setup for Sharp Edge and most of the other places downtown.

I'll second Southern Tier. It's one of my go-to bars now. Good beer, good food, and lots of TVs. And now that they've added on extra space, it's easier to get seated.
