What's more frustrating is that they are only playing once every 3 or 4 days and still losing. Like what are they doing on their time off? Not practicing?

They don't play again until Wednesday (another long break). They should be on top of their game at this stage.

I was more upset getting blown out by the rags. They stink.

The blues are good. It was a fairly even played game. Entertaining. Sometimes you lose those games

Letang still seems to be finding his rhythm after coming back from an injury. Yes, he makes reckless plays that you want the coach to steer him away from, but let's allow him some time to find his game (especially without a full line-up, one in which he is expected to play additional time in order to cover for other, lesser experienced players).

I am more worried about a PP that is static, fails to maintain traffic in front of the net, and relies on a programmed point shot (allowing the other team to read the play and block the shot). Even when it works during the regular season, a playoff match up will see opposing teams quick to respond and suffocate.

All in all, it was an entertaining game that lacked offensive punch. Both teams had good defense and good goaltending when they needed it--we just didn't have it in the one spot where it counted (and I thought Fleury played a great game). But it's the regular season, with tape that we can learn from, and we will hopefully have our full arsenal of players when we see them again.

I do have a question for those that know more about hockey systems: how has the Penguins' system changed since the beginning of the year? I haven't noticed players forcing the stretch pass as much as they were last year, but it does feel like our game plan only goes so far and then expects our skilled players to fill in the holes. It might explain why Malkin and Crosby are so willing to throw the puck into the blind spot.

With Malkin's being a close second.

He needs to get going...does he need motivation? I don't know.

I think his shoulder is still messed up.

Let the excuses continue.

I second that, this board always makes excuses for these high priced players instead of telling it like it is. How about benching to send a message?
