Didn't see this anywhere on here. I'm meh on this signing. He can skate, which is more than 95% of enforcers can say. Other than that...I got nothing.

P3L sucks. Would have rather signed Mitchell Theoret, at least there's upside there.

This organization is making a stand against fighting or...?

I'm assuming this is just in case someone can't go this weekend.

for a second I thought this was old news. Then I clicked the link. It's not.

Because he was on an AHL contract, he should be free to sign a contract with any NHL team and not be subject to waivers? But if Pens sign him and send him right back to WBS, he would then be subject to waivers?

The player that OP is talking about is Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond, in case you didn't know who P-L L-L was.

Why him, though? Why not some with some, you know, skill? I'm perplexed.

I don't really know, nor do I really care. The impact this signing will have is little to none. It shouldn't really be an issue.

Dreger says he is on waivers, so it seems they intend to keep him in WBS for now.

It doesn't matter what the Pens (via Shero) wish when it comes to fighting, the NHL determines the rules and certain players will play better with some "protection" somewhere nearby.
