I have to be honest. I defended the guy as I do think he was misused here. That said, his squeaky clean class act image comes off as phony to me. He comes off pretentious as ****. I don't think any one who is truly a level headed class act (and whatever else he's touted to be) would act like that in this situation. Dude was a head case tonight.

With that said, none of this matters. Suck it Jerome.

I agree with 98.4% of this.

But would you take him back? I would, in a heart beat.

I wouldn't. He sucks. He has a good shot. That's it. Can't skate, awful on the boards. He's only going to look worse the deeper we get into the season and they are paying him a crap ton of money. He's no more than a 3rd line player and he's probably too slow to do that.

I like Jerome. However, he stunk it up here last year. He was not good and doesn't fit this system. Until the last 2 minutes of the 3rd, I forgot he played there.

Square peg, round hole. I don't say this to mean is a worthless hockey player, but I would not want him back here. I would want him as a PP specialist on my Olympic team.

If they keep playing Iggy 20 plus minutes a night, he'll be using a walker by Christmas.

Absolutely not. I saw a guy shutdown and pout when he didn't play with Crosby when Sid returned from the jaw injury. He totally mailed it in and was a major disappointment.

I think the first line could have adjusted to suit Iginla and would have been better for it. His ability to get into scoring position or open is as on point as it ever was. Obviously, the first line didn't need a fix as they were tyrants more often than not. Still, I think Iginla gives you a lot more than Dupuis, even at this point.

Doesn't matter. After what I saw tonight, I hope Calgary puts together a Cinderella season and brings a cup home in the next 3-4 years.

Iginla played tonight (and this whole season so far) like he's been taking the same roids as Lucic and the rest of the Boston Cromags... Did anyone else notice the guttural grunts and moans that were picked up at ice level by Pierre's mic as the Bruins knuckle-dragged by????

That team is just really easy to hate. So many toolbags, Lucic, Marchand, Mcquaid, Thornton etc...

I honestly believe that their recent success is directly attributed to their coach. Either that or they are underrated because I just can't come to grips with that roster line up being as good as they have been.

Easily Geno's best game, wish he could have buried a chance there. We need this effort and those smarts from him all the time.
Megna doesn't look out of place on Geno's wing, I'm impressed by the kid.
Jussi's shot is vastly underrated!
Nice to see Sutter get on the sheet.

Letang? Still horrible for great stretches. Turnovers, bad decisions, etc. I hope JMart is working with him to fix his game because he's a damn liability when he's on the ice. This is not rust, this is the same old Letang.

Bortuzzo and Maatta look great together once again. I almost want them to stay together when Scuderi is back.

Wow... what a game.

Both teams wanted this win bad, not for the 2 points, but for pride. It's nice to see the Pens beat one of the better teams in the league in a game like that.
MAF played great and the team followed his lead.
Geno played awesome. Looked dominant on the puck and this is a personal message to HCDB... KEEP MEGNA WITH GENO. Really really good game by these two.
Jussi, what a good hockey player this guy is. Good instincts, great shot.
I wish Sutter would shoot more often. His wrist shot is deadly.
I thought Kunitz knocked out Seidenberg (i think) with his hit at the end of the the pp the Pens had. Absolutely destroyed him.
This year Vitale is playing 138% better than last year. He looks better with the puck, makes better decisions, and is everywhere on the ice. I wish he could get more ice time.
Borts is going to be a good one. We've needed a big guy like him on hte backend for a while now. Him pushing Chara in front of MAF was awesome. Two giants going at it.

The only player I have to rip on is Letang. He one again made a few bone-headed plays that almost cost us big. He take soooo many risks that are just not needed. Make him a winger when Scuds gets back. He made a couple good plays, but when you give up stupid breakaway chances the other way... it kinda needs to stop. like now.

Letang has a similar pedigree as Coffey. The difference between the two was Coffey was more of a low risk high reward. Letang must find this type of balance. Otherwise he will be difficult to trust in the near future. I'm willing to give him a little more time to see where this all plays out.

The thing about Iginla is that he is now 0-5 in Pens vs Broons games in the last 5 months. :pop:

I don't think people should be shy about judging a guy, who just signed a 8 * $7.25M contract.

How long has Letang been in the league now? 6, 7 years? How much time does he need? How many of you feel like this :scared: when he steps on the ice?

Yes, i heard them say he had 4 hits in the 1st. He played a shift or two on D when Martin was hurt. Didn't notice him in the third.
