Dustin Jeffrey fan club salivating at their saviors possible opportunity?

Spoiler:

Maintenance day, according to the Pens. Looked like he just landed funny on his wrist/arm.

Sutter jammed his wrist into the boards. He went to the bench in pain but never missed a shift.

Kobasew going down means more of an opportunity for Megna, so that's the silver lining. Not that Kobasew was doing anything great anyways. I'm all for adding youth and speed, no matter how it happens.

I think we are running on 3 years in a row here where as soon as somebody returns to the lineup, another player must get injured and take their place.

D'Agostini in. Kobasew out.

Letang in. Scuderi out.

I wonder who gets injured when BB returns next week.

I would think that they'll give Jeffrey another game or 2, maybe play Engelland at wing again until BB returns. BUt they could also callup Gibbons, who was tearing it up in the AHL with Megna.

Reading more about Gibbons, his path has been a consistent one, where he takes a year or 2 to get acclimated to each new level of play, and then turns into a dominant player. Was never on my radar as a prospect, but wouldn't mind seeing if he can turn his speed and opportunism into NHL-level assets.

Also, excited to see if Megna can carve out a spot for himself here. His play was a total revelation, and didn't seem predicated on adrenaline the way that often happens with callups (and so would fizzle out after a few games.)

I think there is a curse on anyone who plays on Malkin's right wing. Neal, Bennett, Kobasew. Did Vokoun, Scuderi, or Letang play a little wing on Geno's line in the preseason or just goofing around at practice? Maybe D'Agostini will be ok since he was already injured once this year.

He's just angry that every time he stabs his Dustin Jeffrey voodoo doll it injures someone else on the team and gets Jeffrey in the lineup.
