I should be at this game, but there was some miscommunication and misjudgment of plans this weekend.

Ergo, did not get tickets to this one, but have tickets to the next 2 (12/29 and 3/28)

Also saw tickets behind the Pens bench going on stub hub for around 200-500 dollars. Jackets fans know whats up and can cash in.

I was in 228, and the wooooos were very loud. I was wondering if someone was going to start it.

Not only did they start, but they started with 15 minutes left to go in a 2-0 game. Pick the proper woo time, people.

Or you could be good guests in another arena and not woo in the first place.

What row were you in? I stood the third period, between 228 and the luxury boxes.

I don't enjoy the wooing, regardless of the arena.

It was a general "you". I wasn't going to accuse you of wooing.

I was in row K. I had the white Bortuzzo jersey on, and was sitting inbetween my two youngest boys. They had a blast for their 1st Pens away game.

You know, there were two things that I was not crazy about in Nationwide Arena. 1st, the bathrooms were way too small for an arena this new ( I think 2000). Maybe I expected too much with the size of the bathrooms at Consol? 2nd, did anyone else think it was weird you didn't get lids or straws with pop? We get our drinks, and I asked the lady where are their lids and straws, and she says they don't have them? I asked why,and was told they are afraid of people throwing them. Really? First off, a lid and straw, unless in the eye with the straw, could not harm a fly. If I threw it, how far can a lid or straw go? 4 rows if I am lucky? I thought that was weird. I have never been to a sporting event without being given lids and straws. I know with beer you don't get them, but how many kids and adults spill their drink at games there and whine for another one? At least with a lid, if it does tip over, you save some of it.

Just my $.02

they are afraid of people throwing plastic lids but not empty 24OZ beer cans that can easily be flattened to the approximate size and weight of a hockey puck?

I went to a Redskins game last year in DC and got a bottle of water. Same deal with the cap, I wasn't too happy with a big bottle and not allowed to have the cap.

I'm pretty sure that's why they've banned snow balls at Eagles games.
