I have become completely fixated on Parise and i want nothing else... I don't care, i don't care if we win or lose. I don't care if we make the playoffs.

Yeah, most of us have problems. In April we complain about the defense. Then in June we care more about getting a winger for Crosby. It's because the playoffs are 9+ months away and we want to see 1200 goals scored during the regular season.

Ain't this the truth. I am trying to stay out of this trap and hope for strong, gritty defensemen instead of allstar caliber wingers. It is obvious from recent playoffs that a well balanced team with STRONG D wins the cup. It is just hard to not want a high scoring team also. Has to be tough on RS trying to achieve a good balance of scoring and strong defense. This weekend should be very interesting.

Lol.. yea I keep it under control because I have a deep hatred of guys like Eklund / Rossi, but then when legit news source comes out I lose all control.

Example: I found all the Staal obsession talk annoying as hell... then him rejecting that offer came out and I suddenly was refreshing non-stop on what would happen

I'm upset I work July 1 so can't sit on my computer with LGP / TSN / google / twitter tabs and nhl network on tv as I normally do lol

During the season, if a game starts at 7:30, you look forward to 7:30. Now and at the deadline, big news can happen at any time, so we think it requires more attention. What none of us have figured out yet, is that if we missed the entire off-season and just read a ten paragraph summary in September, we'd learn all we really need to know. Being even 12 hours late to learn big news shouldn't be a big deal - but it is.

Thank goodness for Twtitter.. I can now filter the BS rumors by only following credible sources. I no longer need websites filled with idiots who think they are in the know.

Another example of how technology has made my Pens and NHL "fan disease" that much more enjoyable and less time consuming.
