He's guaranteed to have a more distinguished Penguins career than his uncle Rich.
Dave Molinari @MolinariPG
Brandon Sutter, on joining an unfamiliar team: "It's definitely a whole new bag of worms for me."

Is it ironic you're going to the team you scored your first career goal against in 2008?

I'd like to see an athlete end the interview, after being asked a question like that.

He made it pretty clear he wants to be used more offensively and he didnt have that chance in Carolina and he sure as heck isnt going to get that chance in Pgh as long as Malkin, Crosby, Neal are on the roster. I know Shero had to do what he needed to do but to me trading 1 year of Staal for 2 years of Sutter isnt that great of a deal (yes I know they got a 1st rd'er and a prospect but they may never see the NHL)

Staal got 2-3 minutes/game over the last 4 seasons. Sutter will get a chance to play on the 2nd unit here where he will average close to 2 min/game PP time. Not the best minutes, obviously, but there is a huge difference between that and what he has seen the last 2 seasons. I feel confident that he can score 20-25 goals next season.
