Semin is one of the most gifted (talent wise) players in the NHL. He can be a 45 goal scorer in the NHL with that shot of his. He just needs to want it. It seemed to me, that in the playoffs he wanted it.

Despite our defensive woahs, i'm not sold on suter. Weber isn't happening. Even watching his amazing olympic run and the playoffs i'm still not sold on him... not sure why.

Parise is more of a sure bet to me for some reason. I could see suter getting a big payday and under performing. Not sucking, just not playing to what his contract is.

You know why Parise is a sure bet? Take a look at who the captain is and the fact that we just got rid of the other center. Crosby has always been promised a winger. Geno got his and we finally have the cap room and the means to get THAT GUY for Crosby. Not to mention, Crosby is about to sign his life long contract with the Pens. You think they have had discussions about getting Crosby his contract and then his winger for the rest of eternity? You bet.

Parise-Crosby-Dupuis would be sick.

I would not be surprised to see Shero send a 3rd today to get it wrapped up if Parise flat out tells the devils he is signing with the Pens.

How do you people think the Pens are going to get Weber? Hes Restricted. We dont have anything left to trade to NSH for him. I dont think we want to give up a jillion first round picks to sign him to an insane offer sheet, which is rarely done amongst NHL GMs for some reason anyway.

Parise already made 6mil this year on a on year deal. Can't see him getting anything less than 7mil.

Maybe Sid waits until after July 1st to see what Shero ends up doing before giving the discount.

Thought that's why we got Vokoun. And, if we whiff on all of them, it would suck but we'd still have the makings of a good team and could still look at trade scenarios.
