PENGUINS GRAPHICS

This first set of pictures were taken by my sister, Carol, on the night the Pens returned to Pittsburgh after winning their first Stanley cup: the Penguins' bus (34k), the scene outside the airport (43k), Ron Francis (21k) (looked a little younger then, huh?), the Cup! (25k), and finally, Badger Bob Johnson (20k).

This group of pictures were taken by me at the '92 Pens Summer Carnival at the Civic Arena: table full of old logo items (40k), Mike Lange with my sister (20k) (Yes, his tooth was chipped at the time...), View from above (44k), Iceburgh and my sisters (26k), and, finally, the Cup and my sister (28k). (Actually, that last picture might have been taken at a Thrift Drug...)

The following pictures were taken by me at a 96-97 season Pens practice: Mario (31k) skating by the boards, Mario and the boys (44k), Jagr by himself (27k), team shot at center ice (53k), Kasparaitis, Francis, and Lemieux (31k), Assistant Coaches Kehoe and Trottier (32k), a Dave Roche "fight" (30k) - (It was WWF-quality and very funny!), and finally, a shot of the Iceoplex sign (48k).

This is a picture of the youngest Pens fan (32k) who also happens to be my niece/godchild! Here's her reaction (78k) when she was told that Mario Lemieux retired and her current size (20k) relative to the Stanley Cup...

This bunch of pictures were taken by Denise and me at the '97 NHL Draft held in Pittsburgh: the WDVE Pens van (53k), Ken Wregget and Alex Hicks signing autographs (45k), Dome being selected on the Jumbotron (34k), Denise getting Kasparaitis' autograph (42k), and Denise showing off the NHL Draft sign (38k).

Anyone remember the Pens celebrity team captain (15k) or the Pens Stanley Cup Candy Bar (29k)? I was just going to just scan the front (35k) of this 1974-75 Pens Team card but then decided to scan the back (32k) as well. Sure the Pens were respected in 1978! Just look at the logo in this 1978 Topps Helmet & Sticker Decals card (27k)...

Here are the current Pens home and old away jerseys (33k) and the old Russian Pens home/away (27k) jerseys.

I decided to scan a couple of Pens pucks I had laying around the house. Here are pucks from the 1990 All-Star Game (33k), 1991 Stanley Cup (34k), 1992 Stanley Cup (35k), and an old logo puck (33k).

Next are some Stanley Cup license plates: 1991 Cup plate (50k), and 1992 Cup plate (62k).

I admit I despise the new (big-time jinx!) logo, but for those who like it, here's the gaudiest tiled Pens logos background (22k) of all-time! (Yes, I did make it...)

Take a real close look at this pumpkin. Look oddly familiar?!

The next bunch of older Pens pictures were sent to me by Mike Kimmel (Thanks, Mike!): Syl Apps (69k), Chuck Arnason (49k), Wayne Bianchin (72k), Val Fonteyne (78k), Lowell MacDonald (51k), Jean Pronovost (40k), Glen Sather (75k), and Bryan Watson (46k).

The next set of Penguin pics are from Jim Mandelblatt (Thank you, Jim!): Jaromir Jagr (115kb), Jaromir Jagr (85kb), Mario Lemieux - old logo (21kb), Mario Lemieux (21kb).

If you'd like to see some other Pens pictures, check out the AP/Reuters Pens pictures from Yahoo, Hockey Image Archive, the Nando Net gallery of Pens Pictures, Jim Saxon's Pictures (page listed under PENS LINKS), or other Pens sites.

People have been bugging me to put up some ASCII drawings of Penguin players... uh... ok, maybe not! But here are some cool "drawings" done by Susan Burghart of Mario © and Jaromir ©. She also made these Lemieux © (18k) and Jagr © (40k) pictures in Photoshop.

More ASCII art you say?! Well, okay, here's a typical Pens vs Rangers game created by Greta Zimowska.

I occasionally am sent pictures from fans. First are some of Patrick Timney: Patrick and friend at a game and Patrick and Darius Kasparaitis. Finally, here's a very cool picture of Justin Lancour and family with Mario Lemieux taken before the 2/25/01 Islanders game.

Also check out Netwolf's picture section with photos from various games and practices.

PENGUINS AUDIO

Next up are some .wav files of Mike Lange, Pens broadcaster, on Dan Ensell's Pens Page and Evan Goss' Pens Page. This is by no means a definitive list. I recommend cruising through my Pens links section for more sound files.
