The Penguins trading deadline moves
Craig Patrick yesterday (3-20-96) picked up two right wingers (?) and only one defenseman. He gave up Markus Naslund for tough RW Alek Stojanov from the Canucks, picked up D JJ Daigneault (who's been in the minors since the end of February...) from the St. Louis Blues for a 1996 sixth-round draft choice, and got RW Kevin Miller from the San Jose Sharks for a 1996 fifth-round draft choice and the ever popular "future considerations."
Jagr does what no other Czech-born player has done
By netting 2 goals in 2-23-96's game against Hartford, Jaromir Jagr becomes the first Czech-born player to score 50 goals in a season.
