The Penguins win their sixth straight and ninth straight at home after beating the Wild 5-2 in front of 18,623 at CONSOL Energy Center. Pittsburgh got goals from Chris Kunitz (2), Brandon Sutter, Matt Niskanen and Olli Maatta (penalty shot). Jeff Zatkoff won his sixth straight start and made 24 saves on 26 shots.
Penguins beat Rangers 4-3 on Sutter shootout goal (18-Dec-2013)
The depleted Penguins keep rolling on with a 4-3 shootout win over the Rangers in front of 18,006 at Madison Square Garden. The Penguins got regulation goals from Chris Kunitz, Pascal Dupuis and Brandon Sutter. Sutter, in the fifth round, scored the lone goal of the shootout to earn the win. Marc-Andre Fleury made 29 saves on 32 shots.

Pittsburgh got goals from Chris Conner in the first period and Sidney Crosby and Brandon Sutter (EN) in the third.
Penguins beat Sharks 5-1 (5-Dec-2013)
The Penguins score four in the second period and defeat the Sharks 5-1 in front of 18,522 at CONSOL Energy Center. Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside 44 of 45 San Jose shots. Pascal Dupuis (who left the game early in the second), Jayson Megna, Chris Kunitz and Kris Letang scored for Pittsburgh. Sidney Crosby had three assists in his 500th career NHL game.

Penguins down Islanders 3-2 in overtime (3-Dec-2013)
The Penguins rebound from a 2-0 deficit first-period deficit to defeat the Islanders 3-2 in overtime. Pittsburgh got a late second-period power-play goal from James Neal and then a game-tying power-play goal from Sidney Crosby in the third. Crosby, on a nice individual effort, stole the puck in overtime and notched his fifteenth goal of the season in overtime.
