Sidney Crosby returned after a 10 month absence and merely had a four-point (2g, 2a) night as the Penguins blanked the Islanders 5-0 in front of 18,571 at CONSOL Energy Center. Crosby scored his first of the season at 5:24 of the first on a beautiful backhander which turned out to be the eventual game-winner. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped all 29 shots he faced for his second shutout of the season and 21st of his career.
