Team to webcast Saturday's pre-season game vs Detroit (20-Sep-2007)
The team will be webcasting Saturday's preseason game vs. Detroit on www.pittsburghpenguins.com. The video is available free of charge.
Broadcasters Paul Steigerwald and Bob Errey will be calling the action from the game which starts at 7:30pm at Mellon Arena.
Penguins sign lease agreement (20-Sep-2007)
The Penguins have formally signed a lease for a new arena that commits them to staying in Pittsburgh until 2040 and means the Sports & Exhibition Authority will be able to close on a $325 million bond issue to finance construction.
Penguins cut 10 from camp (17-Sep-2007)
The Penguins have cut 10 players from the training camp roster. Aaron Boogaard, Joe Jensen, Mark Letestu, Kurtis McLean, Kyle Rank, Mark Ardelan, Paul Bissonnette, Jonathan D’Aversa, Deryk Engelland and David Brown were all sent to WBS. Penguins re-sign three coaches (12-Sep-2007)
The Pittsburgh Penguins signed assistant coaches Andre Savard and Mike Yeo to one-year contract extensions through the 2008-09 season, while extending their relationship with goaltending coach Gilles Meloche, signing him to a new two-year contract.
Training Camp Schedule and Roster released (7-Sep-2007)
The Penguins have released their 2007 Training Camp Schedule. There will be 3 open practices at Iceoplex and 3 open practices at Mellon Arena.
Penguins unveil new uniforms (5-Sep-2007)
The Penguins formally unveiled the new 2007-08 uniforms. The highlight of the new RBK jerseys is that the pigeon logo has been removed from the shoulders. Amen!
