Pens beat Rangers 4-1; Malkin has hat-trick (15-Jan-2008)
The Penguins get three goals from Evgeni Malkin in their 4-1 win over the Rangers in front of 17,000 at Mellon Arena. Malkin scored twice in the first period and then added an empty-netter to cap of his second hat-trick in 11 days. Sergei Gonchar scored the game's third goal in the first. Jaromir Jagr scored New York's lone goal on a power play in the third period. Ty Conklin made 43 saves and was voted the game's number two star.

Pens' winning streak stopped by Recchi shootout goal (13-Jan-2008)
The streak is over... Ex-Pen Mark Recchi's shootout goal gave Atlanta a 3-2 victory over the Penguins in front of 18,545 at Philips Arena. Ty Conklin stopped 36 of 38 shots and had another strong game in net. Sidney Crosby scored twice for the Pens while Ilya Kovalchuk and Bobby Holik both had power play goals. After both teams failed on their first three shootout attempts, Mark Recchi scored for Atlanta and Evgeni Malkin was unable to convert his giving the Thrashers the win.

Streak hits 8 with 4-1 victory over Lightning (11-Jan-2008)
The Penguins won their eighth straight and Ty Conklin won his ninth straight in goal in a 4-1 victory over Tampa Bay in front of 20,426 at the St. Pete Times Forum. Paul Ranger gave the Lightning a 1-0 lead at 4:11 of the second period but Jordan Staal scored twice (although the first goal appeared to be Petr Sykora's) in a 2:22 span of the second. Ryan Malone scored late in the third and Evgeni Malkin finished off the scoring with an empty-netter. Conklin made 35 saves and was the game's number one star. Pittsburgh also broke a 12-game losing streak against the Lightning.

Penguins win 7th straight in 3-1 victory over Florida (9-Jan-2008)
The Penguins win their seventh straight and goaltender Ty Conklin is now 8-0 on the season after a 3-1 victory over Florida in front of 17,086 at BankAtlantic Center. After a scoreless first, Pittsburgh scored three times in just over three minutes in the middle of the second period. The only question in the third was whether Ty Conklin would get his third shutout of the season but Gregory Campbell spoiled that with a shorthanded goal at 15:51 of the third.

Malkin scores three in 6-2 victory over Maple Leafs (4-Jan-2008)
Evgeni Malkin gets his first career hat trick in a 6-2 win over the Maple Leafs in front of 17,074 at Mellon Arena. After being up 2-1 after two periods on an Erik Christensen goal and Malkin's first of the night, the Pens put the game away with three goals in 48 seconds early in the third period. Malkin then capped off his hat trick with a power play goal at 15:28 of the third.

- Tyler Kennedy and Petr Sykora also scored for Pittsburgh
- Tyler Conklin is now 6-0 as the starting goaltender.
- The game also featured a fight between Jarkko Ruutu and Darcy Tucker in which Ruutu landed 25 of the 32 punches he threw.

Start time changed for Saturday (2-Jan-2008)
Due to the Steelers playoff game Saturday night, the Penguins have moved their start time to 3:00pm this Saturday.

Pens win Winter Classic 2-1 in shootout (1-Jan-2008)
A cold, snowy outdoor spectacle was capped off with a Sidney Crosby shootout winner as the Penguins beat the Sabres 2-1 in front of 71,217 at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Colby Armstrong opened the scoring 21 seconds into the game as he knocked in a rebound of a Sidney Crosby shot. Buffalo got there goal at the 1:25 mark of the second when Brian Campbell took a cross-ice feed and wristed the puck by Ty Conklin from the right face-off dot. After neither team could score in the third or overtime the game went to a shootout. Ales Kotalik and Kris Letang scored on their attempts and Sidney Crosby got the game-winner as he beat Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller five-hole.
