Penguins fall 2-1 to Devils in Malkin's NHL debut (19-Oct-2006)
The Penguins lost 2-1 to New Jersey as Pittsburgh got its first look at Evgeni Malkin who scored the Pens' lone goal. Malkin lived up to the hype as he made several unreal passes, broke a pane of glass with a slapshot, and ripped a shot past... uh... okay, he poked at a puck the Devils' goaltender Martin Brodeur appeared to have covered up which slid over the goal line for his first NHL goal.
