The Pens got a late third period goal from Ramzi Abid to defeat Atlanta 4-3 in front of 9,576 at Mellon Arena. The crowd was the smallest in nearly eight years. On a related note, Mario Lemieux announced that he was declining the $5 million raise offered to him by the team's board due to declining attendance.
