Penguins tie Flyers 3-3 (11-Oct-2003)
The Pens recovered from their opening game debacle with a hard-earned 3-3 tie in Philadelphia. Things looked bleak after the first period as the Flyers were up 3-0. Philadelphia were up 1-0 with a power play goal less than two minutes in, then notched a shorthander at 14:22 and finally scored an even strength goal with just over two to go in the period. Pittsburgh got a power play goal from Dick Tarnstrom in the second and then goals from Mario Lemieux and Aleksey Morozov in the third to earn the point.
