Bednar needs to find a place on the 15 day IL with a hangnail so he can get his act together. I'm absolutely fine with Chapman being the closer. He's been a lot more effective.

There have also been the guys who have been really good in extra innings too. But if Bednar isn’t 100% and that seems to be the case he needs to not play until he’s healthy because it’s not helping anyone to keep blowing saves.

The Succos have returned. Whoever that other team was that started the season in their uniforms has vacated.

And it looks like Chapman has the yips now. At least he didn't pitch last night. If both those guys get it together at the same time along with Holderman, they will have one of the best 7, 8, 9th inning relievers in the MLB. Would love to see them take two more from the Brew Crew, but I'm not going to hold my breath. FIngers crossed tho.

Well, the Pirates are going with the Skene's debut Saturday. I'm a little surprised they are bringing him up in May and not their usual June nonsense for longer control.

Well Skenes looks pretty good, naturally Shelton pulls him and the bullpen implodes into a rain delay.

What I get for actually watching a Pirates game, I guess.

Skenes gets to witness Pirate incompetence first hand. I don't think I've ever seen 4 straight runs off 4 straight walks. EDIT: I guess there were two more after the rain delay. Insane. At least they took back the lead in the bottom of the 5th.

EDIT: and some how they win a very bizarre game.

Something big needs to change in the organization. How Skenes and as called up before he could pitch complete games is bizarre. Yesterday bases were loaded in bottom of the 9th with 2 outs and Cruz had a 3-1 count. You don’t swing no matter what when you need a walk or a passed ball to win. And he flys out.

This other catcher is garbage. Cost two wins this series. Everyone gets worse when called up. The feee agents brought in are all garbage. Our top picks turn to garbage. The lineup is rarely good. Everyone from ownership to base coaches need to go.
